  1. This is in reference to the Spot Report dated March 20, 2025, and the Progress Report dated March 23, 2025.

  2. On or about 10:45 PM of March 19, 2025, a Robbery with Homicide Incident transpired at ABC Convenience Store, Brgy. San Isidro, Quezon City.

  3. Based on initial investigation, two unidentified male suspects, wearing black jackets and helmets, entered ABC Convenience Store and declared a holdup. The suspects forcibly took the cash register containing ₱25,000 and personal belongings of the cashier and a customer. During the incident, one suspect fatally shot customer Mario Dela Cruz, who attempted to resist. The suspects then fled onboard a black motorcycle.

  4. Responding officers arrived at the scene at around 12:30 AM on March 20, 2025, and secured the area while SOCO processed the crime scene and gathered evidence. The following day, March 21, 2025, witness testimonies led to the positive identification of one suspect as John Dela Cruz, a known offender. Further investigation on March 22, 2025, led to the identification of the motorcycle’s registered owner. A progress report was submitted on March 23, 2025, while surveillance and follow-up operations were conducted at the suspect’s last known address. On March 24, 2025, John Dela Cruz was arrested in Brgy. Commonwealth, and a caliber .45 pistol was recovered from his possession. On March 25, 2025, a case for Robbery with Homicide was filed with the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.

  5. Coordination with Barangay Officials and Intelligence Units facilitated the suspect’s identification, while CCTV footage analysis and witness testimonies confirmed his involvement. His arrest resulted in the recovery of a firearm believed to have been used in the crime. A case for Robbery with Homicide under Article 294 of the Revised Penal Code was filed in court.

  6. Continuous efforts are being made to track down and arrest the second suspect who remains at large. To prevent similar incidents, police presence in high-risk commercial areas will be enhanced. Coordination with the prosecution is also ongoing to ensure the swift resolution of the case.

  7. At present, suspect John Dela Cruz is detained at the QCPD Custodial Facility pending trial. The second suspect remains at large, and intelligence operations are being conducted for his apprehension. The case has been filed under I.S. No. QC-INV-2025-0319-001 and is now pending before RTC Branch 105, Quezon City.
