Government Issues Warning Against Fund Release Fixers In a bold move to safeguard the integrity of its financial management, the government has issued a stern warning against individuals or groups claiming to have the ability to expedite the release of funds from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM ). Circular Letter 2024-8, dated March 7, 2024 , reiterates the government’s commitment to transparency and due process, emphasizing that all requests for fund releases are processed in accordance with established laws, procedures, and regulations. The DBM has made it clear that no external person or group is authorized to facilitate fund releases, and any such claims should be regarded with suspicion. Government officials and personnel are expressly prohibited from soliciting requests for fund release or accepting any form of payment to influence the process.
