How to Update Your Mobile Number in SSS: A Step-by-Step Guide

Updating your mobile number with the Philippine Social Security System (SSS) is essential to ensure you receive timely notifications and updates about your contributions and benefits. As of May 16, 2022, SSS members can conveniently update their contact information, including mobile numbers, through the My.SSS online portal.

Steps to Update Your Mobile Number via My.SSS:

  1. Access Your My.SSS Account:

    • Visit the SSS website and log in to your My.SSS account. If you don't have an account yet, you'll need to register by providing the necessary personal information.

  2. Navigate to Contact Information:

    • Once logged in, go to the "Member Info" section.
    • Select "Update Contact Info" from the dropdown menu.

  3. Update Your Mobile Number:

    • In the contact information form, locate the field for your mobile number.
    • Enter your new mobile number.
    • Review the information to ensure accuracy.

  4. Submit and Confirm:

    • After verifying your updated mobile number, submit the changes.
    • SSS will send a notification to your existing or new email address and mobile number.
    • To confirm your request, click on the link provided in the notification within three days; otherwise, the link will expire, and you'll need to repeat the process.

  5. Effectivity of Update:

    • Once you've confirmed your request, the updated mobile number will take effect after two days.
    • SSS will notify you once the update is successful.

Important Notes:

  • No Registered Mobile Number: If you haven't previously registered a mobile number with SSS, you'll need to visit any SSS branch to submit your mobile number using the Member Data Change Request Form. It's advisable to set a branch appointment through your My.SSS account or check the branch's walk-in schedule based on the last digit of your SSS number.

  • Timely Confirmation: Ensure you confirm your request within the three-day window to avoid repeating the process.

  • Accurate Information: Providing up-to-date and accurate contact information is crucial for receiving important updates and notifications regarding your SSS transactions.

By following these steps, you can seamlessly update your mobile number with SSS, ensuring uninterrupted communication and access to services.
