How to Pay Your PhilHealth Contributions Using GCash: A Step-by-Step Guide

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has released Advisory No. 2024-0065, signed by President and CEO Emmanuel R. Ledesma, Jr. on December 20, 2024. This advisory provides a clear step-by-step process for members who wish to pay their premium contributions via the GCash app.

If you are a PhilHealth member looking for a convenient way to settle your contributions, follow this guide to ensure timely and accurate posting of your payments.

Step-by-Step Guide to Paying PhilHealth Contributions via GCash

1. Open the GCash App and Go to "Bills"

  • Ensure your GCash app is updated to the latest version.
  • On the home screen, tap "Bills" to access the list of billers.

2. Select "Government" and Search for "PhilHealth"

  • Under the Government category, locate PhilHealth as your biller.

3. Input the Required Information

3.1. Payment Amount

  • If you have a Statement of Premium Account (SPA), enter the amount indicated in the SPA.
  • If you do not have an SPA, enter the correct premium amount based on your membership type.

3.2. Select Your Membership Type

  • Choose the appropriate member type from the dropdown menu (e.g., Self-Employed, OFW, Voluntary Member).

3.3. Input Your 12-Digit PhilHealth Number

  • Ensure accuracy to prevent payment issues.

3.4. Enter Either SPA Number or Payor Name

  • Choose only one between these options.

3.5. Enter the Payment Period (Start and End Date)

  • The end date must be later than the start date. Example: January 2024 - March 2024 (012024-032024).

4. Review and Confirm Your Payment Details

  • Double-check all entries before proceeding.

5. Click “Confirm” and Save the Receipt

  • After payment, keep a copy of the receipt as proof of transaction.
