Tragedy Strikes as 15-Year-Old Student Drowns in Naic, Cavite

August 16, 2024 - A 15-year-old student met a tragic fate after escaping from school and indulging in an ill-fated beachside drinking session with classmates. The incident occurred last Thursday in Barangay Bucana, Naic, Cavite.


As they sat by the water, powerful waves unexpectedly crashed upon them, sweeping the group away. Despite swift efforts by the Philippine Coast Guard, the victim remained missing until late evening. Fortunately, the six classmates managed to survive the ordeal.

This morning, rescuers from the PCG and Bantay Dagat found the lifeless body of the victim floating near the coastline. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the young student during this difficult time. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
