PRC Announces Results of Medical Technologists Licensure Examination

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has released the results of the Medical Technologists Licensure Examination held this March 2024. Out of 9,068 examinees, 7,309 successfully passed the rigorous test administered by the Board of Medical Technology across various cities in the Philippines.

The licensure examination covered locations including N. C. R., Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga. The results were made available within just two working days after the conclusion of the examination.

The esteemed members of the Board of Medical Technology who conducted the licensure examination were Dr. Marilyn A. Cabal-Barza (Chairman) and Dr. Leila Lany M. Florento (Member).

Starting April 25, 2024, successful examinees can register online for the issuance of their Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration. To complete the registration process, candidates must follow these steps:

  1. Visit www.prc.gov.ph and carefully follow the instructions for initial registration.
  2. Prepare the necessary documents, including:
    • Downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
    • Notice of Admission (for identification purposes only)
    • Two passport-sized pictures (colored, with a white background and complete name tag)
    • Two sets of documentary stamps
    • One piece of short brown envelope
  3. Successful examinees are required to personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

Additionally, candidates who did not pass the board examination for Medical Technology but obtained a general rating of at least 70% can still register as Medical Laboratory Technicians.
